- Q: What do you think about the Warp Prism's health increase in Patch 1.4?
- A: It's something every Protoss would welcome. But there are limitations on how you can use the Warp Prism. Only players with fast hands and good multitasking can use it. It's something extremely good for me.
- Q: Your 8 Dark Templar Drop was impressive in Game 1.
- A: I have fun reading the strategies posted in the strategy forum in a community site. I heard that there's a foreign player, White-Ra, who uses 8 DT drops to destroy hatcheries. So I kept watching White-Ra's live streams but he didn't use it once. So it's a build that is optimized through me. I used builds that are akin to this, but I conceived today's build from White-Ra's build. But I've never seen him use this build [laugh]
- Q: Anything else you want to say?
- A: [generic stuff]. I offer today's Dark Templar build as a sacrifice to oGsInca.

Aboard the SR2 Normandy…
Hey Garrus, you got a Minute?
…Can it wait for a bit? I’m in the middle of some Calibrations…
…I should go.
Gotta love that Turian C-Sec agent. My original intention for this painting was to make a quick sketch of Garrus Vakarian… but somehow the more I painted, the more detailed it got. I spent a good 5 hours on this painting…
This was kind of good practice for me in terms of painting texture and form. Though I still find I have trouble with textured surfaces though.
Oh yeah, and people will notice that this is the ME2 render of Garrus, but he’s missing his battle scars, because I’m lazy, so I decided to paint him without them, which actually gave me more work haha.

This is the most awesome band that my room mate and I have come across. We are going to try to learn it!
He’s got the solo down (almost). Now it’s up to me to learn the rhythm…

Red Haired Girl
…ehhh. Not one of my first paintings since I started again, but thought I’d put it up. Nothing really special, just a simple portrait of a girl. took about 2 and a half hours to paint. It’s really rough, as you can still see some of the outlines, and blurry under painting foundation. I had a loose photo for reference, although she was wearing those huge hipster glasses in that one, so I had to imagine her without them.
Could be more detailed. Background is weak, but I wasn’t focusing on that. Clothing isn’t detailed either, since I wanted to focus more on the face.
Return To the World of Illustration
I’ll be honest… ever since I’ve graduated from college, which was way back in june 2009, I’ve stopped making art. Correction, I have been making art… but it was never anything that was something out of my comfort zone (which was graphic design). I had somehow, since last june, stopped making work that was creative. fun. Challenging. Well it was worst, I stopped making work. Period. Stopped Improving my artistic (or lack there of) talent.
Actually, let’s go back even further. I’ll be even MORE honest. Ever since Sophomore year of college, I stopped doing the thing I loved more than Graphic Design… and that was Illustration. Don’t get me wrong though, I like graphic design. I’m pretty good at it. Sure there’s always room for improvement in design, but I don’t actively pursue it… I don’t really love it… I only like it. But when it comes to illustration, nothing beats it. I have to blame my love for anime/manga roots. That’s mainly when it all started (what else is new… 10000000 other artists I know started that way…)
Me doing graphic design is kinda like going to the ice cream store, and asking for Rocky Road Ice cream, only to find out that there’s none left, and then settling for Mint Chocolate chip instead. Sure it still tastes good… but where’s the rocky road goodness?
Which is why recently I’ve been getting the itch… the itch to draw again. I don’t know how it happened, since I thought my mind was already settled to the fact that I can’t be a crazy good illustrator like some people I know, but somehow the artistic flame inside me was lit… somehow. Perhaps it was due to me attending my friend’s graduation from an art school. Or seeing a some friends work online. Whatever the case, I feel inspired again. And it feels pretty good.
So with all that being said, I’ve created this little tumblr account to post sketches, paintings, and anything to do with illustration. Most of this stuff I’d classify as “Blah/Crap” which in my book isn’t really portfolio material. I just want to get better. I’m in no rush, I want to do this leisurely. I hope to improve someday, but I still don’t see myself being an illustrator professionally. This is just a hobby.
